FRESNO — A federal court in California told a Bakersfield College professor that he lacks standing to sue the school for First Amendment claims out of a fear that he will be retaliated against for opposing diversity efforts, e.g. serving as faculty lead for a campus group called Renegade Institute for Liberty. He has not yet been injured, nor shown the school might take action against him; he cites regulations that do not contain enforcement mechanisms; and many of those regulations do not apply to his past or planned conduct.
