Genetic Testing

The Michigan Court of Appeals reinstated a family’s medical malpractice claims against the University of Michigan and Yale University arising from inaccurate genetic testing results. The family was told that one of their daughters was at a high risk of developing melanoma but it was actually the other daughter who was at risk and who ended up developing skin cancer.

The family was told that one of their daughters was at a high risk of developing melanoma but it was actually the other daughter who was at risk and who ended up developing skin cancer.
