DETROIT — The Michigan Court of Appeals reinstated a family’s medical malpractice claims against the University of Michigan and Yale University arising from inaccurate genetic testing results. The family was told that one of their daughters was at a high risk of developing melanoma but it was actually the other daughter who was at risk and who ended up developing skin cancer.
