Generic Drugs

The Association For Accessible Medicines sued the California Attorney General in federal court, claiming the state’s “<strong><a href="https://www.courthousenews.com/california-bars-pay-for-delay-pharmaceutical-industry-practice/">pay for delay</a></strong>” law, barring pharmaceutical companies from paying competitors <a href="http://www.courthousenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Generic-drugs.pdf"><strong>to keep generic drugs off the market</strong></a> is an unconstitutional interference with interstate commerce.

SACRAMENTO — The Association for Accessible Medicines brought a federal complaint over California’s “pay for delay” law barring pharmaceutical companies from paying competitors to keep generic drugs off the market . The complaint calls it unconstitutional interference with interstate commerce.
