Gender-affirming health care

AUSTIN, Texas — In a dispute relating to gender-affirming health care for children, an appeals court in Texas ruled in favor of parents of a transgender teenager and a psychologist, upholding a temporary restraining order blocking the state from taking action against them pursuant to the governor and attorney general’s opinions that such health care constitutes child abuse.
