MINNEAPOLIS (CN) - Abigail Garner, a gay-rights advocate, claims Cengage Learning fka Thomson Learning republished one of her essays without permission, and sought permission four days after publishing it. She also claims the defendants, including Thomas Corp., Thomson Gale Inc. and Apax Partners included an offensive description of her, her family, and her work, in an introduction to the stolen essay that the defendants published in their book, "Family in Society: Essential Primary Sources."
