Gay-Bashing Baptist Sues 2 Cities

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (CN) - Shirley Phelps-Roper, of the gay-bashing Westboro Baptist Church, sued two Missouri cities, claiming they chilled her right to protest at funerals of American soldiers, whom she insists were killed by "God's wrath" at our country's "acceptance and promotion" of the "abomination" of "homosexuality and idolatry." The ACLU represents the woman in her claims against Smithville and Gladstone, Mo.
