Gas Shipments

WASHINGTON (CN) - The Department of Interior's Minerals Management Service has issued a regulation describing the informal complaint resolution process on which a shipper can rely if a pipeline company denies access to oil or gas pipelines on the Outer Continental Shelf.

Shippers may use a hotline for non-binding advice, request alternative dispute resolution, or file a complaint. Any or all may be used. No costs are mentioned for use of the hotline, costs are split between the parties in ADR, and it costs $7,500 to file a complaint, although the cost may be waived.
