Gas on the Water

WASHINGTON (CN) - Constructing liquefied natural gas or liquefied hazardous gas terminals on the coast soon may require submission of a Waterway Suitability Assessment to the Coast Guard, which would document all aspects of the proposed facility's security arrangements.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission would not begin to process a license application without the report.
