Gamestop VP Gets Four-Year Sentence

DALLAS (CN) - A former vice president of Gamestop was sentenced Thursday to four years in federal prison for defrauding the company of $2 million.

Frank C. Olivera pleaded guilty to mail fraud in November 2012.

He admitted that as VP of communications, he issued $1,965,900 in checks to Cloud Communications, his own imaginary company, for fraudulent invoices.

He was sentenced to four years and three months in prison and ordered to pay restitution.

Gamestop, a video game retailer, is based in Grapevine, Texas.
