Game Developer & Distributor Swap Lawsuits

DALLAS (CN) - Video game developer PopCap Games International has swapped lawsuits in Dallas County Court with distributor MumboJumbo LLC. PopCap claims it sent Bejeweled and other popular games to MumboJumbo to distribute, but the defendant fell behind on payments and owes about $1.4 million.

MumboJumbo allegedly kept selling the games and pocketing the profits. But the distributor claims PopCap terminated the distribution agreement in June 2006, then slandered the distributor's reputation to retailers. See complaints filed by PopCap and MumboJumbo.
