FTC Whacks Long Island Internet Business

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (CN) - Classic Closeouts makes unauthorized deductions from customers' bank accounts months and even years after they have made purchases, the FTC claims in Federal Court.

The FTC seeks a permanent injunction and other relief from Classic Closeouts CEO Daniel J. Greenberg, also dba Thirdfree.com. His Hempstead, Long Island-based businesses have operated over the Internet since 2003 on Classiccloseouts.com, the FTC says.
