FTC Slaps Telemarketers’ Hands

MANHATTAN (CN) - Two men who bilked consumers by claiming they could make $500 a week by processing medical bills at home have settled FTC charges by agreeing not to do it again and paying a fine. Chris Taylor and his Medical Billers Network and Wilson Jose Caceres and Caceres Quality Distribution were each fined $4 million, suspended for their inability to pay, so the men must pay the FTC about $15,000, the agency said.
