FTC Shuts Down ‘Rogue’ Internet Site

SAN JOSE (CN) - The FTC obtained an emergency order shutting down what it calls a "notorious rogue Internet service provider" that "specializes in hosting spam-spewing botnets, phishing Web sites, child pornography, and other illegal, malicious Web content." Lead defendant in the federal case is Pricewert dba 3FN.net.

The FTC also sued Triple Fiber Network, APS Telecom, APX Telecom, APS Communications, and APS Communication.
