FTC Says Cephalon Cheated To Protect Drug

WASHINGTON (CN) - Cephalon illegally restrained commerce by buying off four generic competitors with more than $200 million to delay generic competition for its wakefulness drug, Provigil, until 2012, the FTC claims in Federal Court. Provigil's antitrust violations will cost consumers "hundreds of millions of dollars a year," the FTC says.
