WASHINGTON (CN) - The Federal Trade Commission has given notice that it will review its regulations this year and will request public comments on the economic impact of and the need for some of its rules; possible conflicts between the rules and state, local or other federal laws or regulations; and the effect of technological, economic or other industry changes on the rules.
The agency has postponed the 2010 review of regulations under the Fair Packaging and Labeling Act, the Credit Practices Rule, the guides for the Advertising of Warranties and Guarantees, and the interpretations of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
