FTC Goes After Fraudulent Telemarketers

ATLANTA (CN) - The FTC and the State of Kentucky sued four corporations and the two people who run them on federal charges of telemarketing fraud.

The defendants are accused of bilking consumers by charging their credit cards and debit accounts with unwarranted and unauthorized charges.

Here are the defendants: Direct Connection Consulting also dba SureTouch Long Distance; Digicom LLC also dba DigiTouch Long Distance; Elliott Borenstein, individually and as an owner of Direct Connection Consulting; Digicom LLC; Joann Winter, individually and as owner of Direct Connection Consulting; and Digicom LLC.
