SAN FRANCISCO (CN) - Medlab cheats consumers with false claims that their weight-loss drugs, including Zyladex Plus and Questral AC, can help you "Lose up to 15 pounds a week" and that "Not Even Total Starvation Can Slim You Down and Firm You Up This Fast - This Safe!" the Federal Trade Commission claims in Federal Court.
The FTC claims Medlab, Pinnacle Holdings, Metabolic Research Associates, USA Health, and their mastermind, L. Scott Holmes, made bogus claims about "The Future of Weight Loss" in Sunday newspaper supplements, without any evidence for it. The FTC seeks disgorgement, refunds and an injunction.
