MANHATTAN - Saying that the U.S. State Department wants 44 months to respond to its reporter's request for certain email requests, the New York Times filed a federal complaint.

The four-page action offers few details on the scope of the request, which sought correspondence between certain government officials and representatives of three private organizations: CSIS, the Center for Strategic & International Studies; General Atomics; and American Defense International.
