Fraternity Death

Parents’ negligence claim against the organizer of a fraternity event may continue, a federal court in Pennsylvania ruled. The organizer encouraged others not to help a pledge who died after being served excessive amounts of alcohol and falling down the frat house stairs.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Penn. – A federal court in Pennsylvania advanced a negligence claim against fraternity event organizers who encouraged others not to help a pledge before he took a fatal fall down the frat house stairs after being served excessive amounts of alcohol.
