(CN) - Europe's highest court dismissed France Telecom's appeal of a 10.35 million euro fine for abusing its dominant position in the French market for high-speed Internet access.
Lower courts found that France Telecom's predecessor, Wanadoo Interactive (WIN), charged its customers predatory prices for existing eXtense and Wanadoo Internet service, in a push to pre-empt the developing market for high-speed Internet access.
The European Commission imposed the 10.35 million euro fine, and the Court of First Instance affirmed.
The Court of Justice dismissed France Telecom's appeal as partially inadmissible and partially unfounded.
