MANHATTAN (CN) - Fox News demands that the U.S. Treasury produce documents about the AIG and Citigroup bailouts.
In its federal FOIA complaint, Fox claims that "an informed public is essential to the national debate currently being conducted in Congress and the media," and that "Oversight and accountability are critical concerns for the American public."
The network says it demanded the information on Nov. 25 and Dec. 1, in separate request for information about money the Treasury awarded to The Bank of New York Mellon and Citigroup.
Fox is represented by Steven Mintz with Mintz & Gold LLP.
