Former Board Member Sues Metalink CEO

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (CN) - Shareholders claim the CEO of Metalink Marine Corp., Anwar Hossain, and his wife, looted the company's assets and damaged its reputation.

The lead plaintiff, a former member of Metalink's board of directors, claims Hossain used company money to pay for his legal defense for wire fraud, to which he pleaded guilty in 2006, and used company money to pay the $150,000 judgment. Plaintiffs claim Hossain and his wife, Hung Sook Oh, looted Metalink and its subsidiaries of more than $800,000.

Plaintiff Qazi Maqsudur Rahman says that he formerly was one of three members of the board of directors, the others being Hossain and his wife, who now constitute the entire board.

Plaintiffs seek an accounting, money, and the title to an apartment in White Plains where Hossain's family allegedly live rent-free - courtesy of Metalink. The plaintiffs are represented in Westchester County Court by Christopher Riley.
