Forest Ballot Initiatives

SALEM, Ore. – An Oregon appeals court ruled that plaintiffs seeking to amend the state’s Forest Practices Act should be allowed to place three initiatives on the Nov. 3, 2020, general election ballot, finding that they are sufficiently connected to each other to meet the constitutional requirement that initiatives must “embrace one subject only.”

The proposals deal with various facets of forest health.
