Foreclosure Rescue Scam Alleged in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (CN) - Nine homeowners say Homekeepers LLC cheated them of thousands of dollars in a foreclosure rescue scam. The plaintiffs say they paid Homekeepers owner Rena Starks from $1,095 to $5,000 apiece to renegotiate mortgage terms and stop foreclosures, and she took the money though she "had no intention of providing any of the ... services to any of the plaintiffs."

Plaintiffs sued Homekeepers and Starks in Clark County Court. They are represented by Matthew Callister with Callister Reynolds.
