Ford faces lawsuit over F-150 transmissions

CHICAGO — A federal court in Illinois denied Ford’s motion for judgement on the pleadings, allowing a consumer’s unfair practices class action to proceed over allegedly defective 10-speed automatic transmissions in Ford F-150 trucks. The claim is not wholly dependent on fraud allegations that were previously dismissed and may proceed on allegations of safety risks.
