Force majeure

HOUSTON — An appeals court in Texas reversed a ruling against the Republican Party of Texas in its breach of contract suit against an organization that operates arts and convention facilities in Houston relating to the termination of a license agreement for the rental of a center for the party’s 2020 convention. The organization did not prove its “force majeure defense,” the court ruled.
