Food and Gas Prices Jump

(CN) - Price hikes for two of the most essential commodities in everyday life, food and energy, are primarily responsible a rise in the consumer price index by 0.4 percent in November after a 0.3 percent hike in October, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The index for all items less food and energy was unchanged in November after increasing 0.2 percent in October.
