Florida Wants to Snuff e-Cigarette Sales

FORT LAUDERDALE (CN) - Florida's attorney general has received "hundreds of complaints" that Smoking Everywhere and the two people who run it run up unauthorized charges on people's credit cards after offering them "free samples" of so-called "e-cigarettes." The state wants Catherine Navas Taieb and Elicko Taieb, both of Weston, Fla., to knock it off, relinquish their websites, and stop their deceptive "email blasting."

The Taieb's charge customers' credit or debit cards $9.95 for "shipping," then bills them for a "continuation program" without their consent, and refuses to issue refunds, the state says. It seeks fines and an injunction, in Broward County Court.
