Florida Supreme Court

ATTORNEYS - Attorney John Thompson, the subject of two disciplinary actions, filed a brief with the court that referred to a "children's picture book for adults," in which he cut and pasted images of swastikas, Paul Simon and a fake dollar bill. The Florida Supreme Court sanctioned Thompson because his motion not only insulted the court's dignity, but it also repeated claims already rejected. In future filings, Thompson must include the signature of another attorney in good standing with the state bar.
