Florida Firm Sues Toyota Over Hybrids

MARSHALL, TEXAS (CN) - Paice, of Bonita Springs, Fla., claims that Toyota's hybrid vehicles violate its patent. The federal complaint does not describe what the patent covers, but car industry magazines report that the U.S. Supreme Court in May refused to hear Toyota's appeal of Paice's claim regarding a microprocessor that receives information from the electric and internal combustion engines, used in Toyota's "Hybrid Synergy Drive."
