FORT LAUDERDALE (CN) - Three Democrats, including one "superdelegate," one Hillary Clinton supporter and a Barack Obama supporter, claim the Democratic National Committee unconstitutionally disenfranchised Florida's Democrats by refusing to seat delegates at the party's nominating convention.
Plaintiff Steven Geller is minority leader of the Florida state Senate, and a superdelegate. He says he has not committed yet to either candidate.
Barbara Effman supports Clinton; Percy Johnson supports Obama.
They demand that the DNC be enjoined "from refusing to seat and count all Florida delegates to the Florida National Convention in August 2008."
Their lead counsel is Greenspoon Marder of Fort Lauderdale.
