Florida Courts Of Appeal

ATTORNEY FEES - Plaintiff challenged an award of attorney fees to Precision Motorcars after the lower court dismissed his claims against the car dealer brought when someone attempted to carjack his Mercedes. The appeals court ruled that the trial court improperly relied on the 2006 Guidelines for Taxation of Costs to award attorney fees because the summary final judgment was granted "well prior" to the implementation of the 2006 guidelines. Reversed. See ruling.
