WORCESTER, MASS. (CN) - Five students sued Atlantic Union College, claiming its choir director and student recruiter, Francisco de Araujo, sexually abused
them. They claim college President George Babcock and Chairman of the Board of Trustees Donald King knew Araujo was a predator when they hired him in 1999.
Nevertheless, the collegeretained and promoted the choir director, said the complint,and students who complained of it were "expelled, forced to leave, deprived of scholarships" and evicted, and that "the college also terminated employees and contractors who complained about the sexual abuse of students at AUC."
