Fired Worker Says No Spanish Was Allowed

ORLANDO (CN) - The City of Kissimmee's former "fitness coordinator" says he was fired for objecting to his boss's policy that the gym be "an 'English only' facility." He claims his boss told him, "At no time should Spanish be spoken in the facility, amongst employees or between employees and members. We don't want anyone to be offended by people speaking Spanish around them."

Brandon Cordero is represented in Federal Court by Neil Chonin of Gainesville.
