Final Sentence in San Diego Terror Case

SAN DIEGO (CN) - An Anaheim cabdriver was sentenced Friday to six years in federal prison for conspiring to support the foreign terrorist group al-Shabaab.

Ahmed Nasir Taalil Mohamud was the fourth and last defendant to be sentenced.

Al-Shabaab is a brutal group based in Somalia.

Sentenced in November 2013 were Mohamed Mohamed Mohamud, the imam at a San Diego mosque: 13 years in federal prison;

Basaaly Saeed Moalin, a San Diego cabdriver: 18 years in prison;

and Issa Doreh, who worked at a money transmitting business that wired the money: 10 years.

All four were convicted after a three-week trial one year ago.

Nasir conspired to collect money from donors in Orange County. The sentencing judge said his offenses were not as great as the others', though they were "very serious."
