Fight the Power

The Yellow Cab Co. and eight others sued the Passenger Transportation Board, Uber Canada and Lyft Canada in British Columbia Supreme Court, claiming the Board lets Uber and Lyft operate on “much more favorable terms” than the plaintiffs, and failed to consider the ride-hailing companies’ “extremely harmful financial impact on the taxi industry.”

VANCOUVER, B.C. — The Yellow Cab Co. and eight others sued the Passenger Transportation Board, Uber Canada and Lyft Canada in British Columbia Supreme Court, claiming the board lets Uber and Lyft operate on “much more favorable terms” than it does the plaintiffs, and failed to consider the “extremely harmful financial impact on the taxi industry” by ride-hailing companies.
