LAS VEGAS (CN) - The man who wrote the fight song for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas says video game powerhouse Electronic Arts used the tune without permission on several games, including "NCAA Basketball," "NCAA Football" and "NCAA March Madness." Gerald Willis demands $150,000 per infringement and destruction of the games that use his song, "Win With the Rebels."
The games at issue can be played on PlayStation, Xbox, Wii, Nintendo GameCube and Game Boy Advance.
Willis, who says he copyrighted the song in 1990, wants the video games destroyed.
He also wants up to $150,000 per infringement, or all profits earned by defendants attributable to their alleged copyright infringement.
