KANSAS CITY, MO. (CN) - A man who opposed the Gentry County Commission's approval of a "gargantuan" wind turbine project says Commissioner Gary Carlson punched him in the face, pulled his mustache, sat on him, separated his shoulder, and told him, "I'm gonna kill you, die trying or go to jail; I don't care which."
In his federal claim, Charles Allen Porter says that among the nuisances he has suffered from being surrounded by windmills "like a collection of NASA spacecraft" is "a powerful strobe light effect cause by the towers lasting approximately one half hour each morning and night, at dawn and dusk."
He demands punitive damages for assault and battery, wrongful imprisonment, retaliation and constitutional violations. He is represented by Charles Speer.
