Fetal Burial Law

The Fifth Circuit denied Texas’ motion for a stay in a suit challenging a state law that would have required health care facilities to bury or cremate fetal remains. In 2018, a federal judge enjoined enforcement of the statute, finding that it placed an undue burden on a woman’s right to obtain an abortion.
