WASHINGTON (CN) - A former U.S. Border Patrol agent seeking to reclaim his 19 firearms after pleading guilty to drug charges will take his fight to the Supreme Court.
The justices did not comment, as is their custom, in granting Tony Henderson aka Hollywood a writ of certiorari Monday.
Earlier this year, the 11th Circuit affirmed a Florida federal judge's decision to deny Henderson the return of his 19 voluntarily surrendered firearms.
Henderson gave up the weapons in 2006 after he was arrested on marijuana-distribution and other charges.
After pleading guilty to the narcotics charge, Henderson twice failed to persuade the FBI to transfer his firearms to purported buyer. When Henderson tried to have his wife take possession of the firearms, the courts denied his motion as a convicted felon.
