Felons and Firearms

The Fifth Circuit ruled a defendant was improperly sentenced to less time in prison than what the law requires for possession of a firearm as a felon. While the defendant was shopping at a gun show with his girlfriend, police officers noticed his prison tattoos and witnessed his girlfriend give him a box containing a semi-automatic rifle.
