Felons and Firearms

<p>The Fifth Circuit <strong><a href="http://www.courthousenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/felonsandfirearms.pdf">ruled</a></strong> a defendant was improperly sentenced to less time in prison than what the law requires for possession of a firearm as a felon. While the defendant was shopping at a gun show with his girlfriend, police officers noticed his prison tattoos and witnessed his girlfriend give him a box containing a semi-automatic rifle. </p>
