INDIANAPOLIS (CN) - Federal Express left "an untold number" of U.S. servicemen and -women stranded in Iraq and Afghanistan by abruptly canceling a contract with ATA airlines, which drove the charter into bankruptcy, ATA claims in Federal Court.
ATA claims FedEx wrongfully, and without notice, removed it from a FedEx Team that provides freight and passenger service to the U.S. military. It claims that FedEx's breach of contract left U.S. soldiers, sailors and Marines, awaiting a trip home, in limbo in Iraq.
ATA demands punitive damages. It is represented by John Hoover with Hoover Hull.
