Federal Circuit Upholds AmeriSource Pill Raid

WASHINGTON (CN) - The federal government did not violate the Fifth Amendment's takings clause when it seized prescription drugs from AmeriSource's warehouse in Norfolk, Va., the Federal Circuit ruled. The company's principals had been charged with conspiracy, unlawful distribution of prescription pharmaceuticals, operating an unregistered drug facility and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
