Father’s fraud by forgery

BATON ROUGE, La. — A Louisiana court’s judgment in favor of a mother and her two children against their father, who had forged their signatures to transfer funds out of accounts that their grandparents set up for his own personal use, was upheld in an appeals court. His daughter wins $57,589, his son is awarded $47,613, and his wife gets $5,000 for the forgeries. The $10,707 expert fees award is vacated however because a hearing over them must be held first.
