RED BLUFF, Calif. (CN) – An enraged rodeo bull jumped the fence and trampled a family during the 87th Annual Red Bluff Round-Up Rodeo at the County Fairgrounds, the family claims in Tehama County Court. The bull, named Blue Steel, escaped from the chute, jumped a plywood wall into the stands and mauled and trampled them, the Davison family says.
The Davisons – mom and dad and two children – say they were mauled on April 20, 2008 because the chute was defective. They sued the Red Bluff Round Up Association, The Redding Rodeo Association, the County of Tehama, Western Rodeo Inc., Russell Ranch LLC, Dan Russell, and Linda Russell.
The Davisons are represented by Michael Cardoza of Walnut Creek.
