LAS VEGAS (CN) - Clark County Family Court Judge Nicholas DelVecchio was removed from office Tuesday after pleading no contest to 11 counts of violating judicial ethics. The judge was accused of sexually harassing his staff and having sex with his ex-wife's 14-year-old daughter.
After the Nevada Commission on Judicial Discipline made its decision to remove him, DelVecchio asked if he would still get a salary or medical benefits, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.
"You are no longer a judge," replied commissioner-Judge Richard Wagner.
The panel also ruled that DelVecchio can no longer work as a judge in Nevada.
DelVecchio lost his bid for re-election in August. His term would have ended this year.
Cynthia Giuliani and Vincent Ochoa are vying for DelVecchio's seat in the Nov. 4 election.
