EUGENE, ORE. (CN) - A man lost a job because ChoicePoint Workplace Solutions falsely reported that he had seven felony charges, including sexual abuse, and warrants for failing to register as a sex offender - all false, the man says in Federal Court. And he says he has a letter from his prospective employer that states, "Our decision was based in whole or in part on information about you contained in a Consumer Report received from ChoicePoint Workplace Solutions."
Robert Haro demands $500,000 for negligence and pain and suffering. He is represented by Foster A. Glass of Bend.
