St. GEORGE, Utah — A federal court in Utah declined to dismiss hotel owners’ unlawful arrest, failure to train and abuse of process claims against Hurricane City and two of its police officers arising from an incident in which a drunken hotel guest called 911 from the hotel lobby to ask for help getting into his room. The female hotel owner was booked for “disorderly conduct” after she objected to being touched by one of the police officers.
