Fabricated evidence led to false arrest?

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A federal court in California advanced most claims from an arrestee who says officers fabricated evidence against him, resulting in his arrest for robbery and a week’s detention in jail. He argues the officers threatened a witness with jail time if she did not identify him as the perpetrator, which is sufficient to support his false arrest and Bane Act claims.
